How to do tent maintenance in advance during the rainy season?

1. Choose high quality fabric cover

2. Regular inspection

Before the rainy season comes, the tent needs to be inspected and maintained in advance. Check whether the PVC cover is scratched or damaged, and whether all parts of the frame are secure.

The stored PVC cover needs to be dried regularly. When the weather is good, it is recommended that you take it out to dry to prevent the rainproof coating on the surface of the tarpaulin from being damaged.

3. Add a waterproof wall

When selecting the site for the tent in the early stage, you can choose an area with high trends for construction.

If your tent is located in a low-lying area, in order to prevent rainwater from flowing from the bottom of the tent to the ground inside the tent during rainy seasons, ShengYixin recommends that you add a concrete waterproof wall inside the tent according to the terrain conditions, with a general height of 40 -50 cm. When installing on grass or sand, you can dig drainage ditches or build drainage ramps around the tent to ensure that the ground inside the tent is dry.

In order to prevent water accumulation, channel steel drainage ditches can also be installed on the top of the tent to speed up water diversion and avoid the hidden danger of water accumulation caused by untimely drainage.

4. Use electrical equipment

During the rainy season, the overall air humidity is relatively high. In addition to the above three points, you can also install blow dryers, dryers, air conditioners, exhaust fans and other equipment inside the tent to speed up the air flow.
